NCC Limited has posted a net profit of Rs 32.08 crore for the fourth quarter, an increase of 18 per cent, on a standalone basis as against Rs 27.18 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The Hyderabad-based construction and infrastructure company registered a turnover of Rs 1,913 crore for the fourth quarter as against Rs 1,741 crore for the same period last year.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 40.51 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2014 on a standalone basis as against Rs 62.67 crore for the corresponding period last year. The turnover for the financial year ended March 31, 2014 was up at Rs 6,117 crore as against Rs 5,725 crore for the previous financial year.

Consolidated

On a consolidated basis, the company recorded a lower net profit of Rs 2.91 crore for the fourth quarter as against Rs 12.31 crore for the same period last year. The company turnover for the quarter was up at Rs 2,288 crore ( Rs 2,032 crore).

For the financial year ended March 31, 2014, the company’s consolidated net profit was also lower at Rs 3.28 crore, as against Rs 56.38 crore for the pervious year. The turnover of the financial year was up at Rs 7,463 crore as against Rs 6,968 crore for the previous fiscal.

In a statement, A Ranga Raju, Managing Director of NCC, said the company has an order book of Rs 20,956 crore as on March 31, 2014.

The Board of Directors of the company have recommended a dividend of 10 per cent on the paid up capital of Rs 51.32 crore subject to the approval of the shareholders at the annual general meeting.

The company shares closed at Rs 63.95, down 5.6 per cent.
