Shopping for that premium Jimmy Choo shoe or Lacoste T-shirt or a Louis Vuitton bag will be much easier in Kolkata. The city’s newest mall to house premium brands will be operational from September 30.
Called Quest, the mall will be owned and operated by RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group’s CESC Ltd.
With the US-based RTKL being the principal architects, the G+5 mall has a built up area of nearly 7.2 lakh square feet.
Some of the luxury brands expected to set up shop include Louis Vuitton (bags), Burberry (apparels), Billabong (surfwear and accessories), Gucci (shoes and accessories), Jimmy Choo (shoes) and lifestyle brands such as Nautica, Lacoste and US Polo Association.
The ground floor, called 'The Luxury Avenue' will house some of the country’s most prestigious brands in fashion and accessories, beauty products, watches and consumer electronics.
The first, second and third floors will consist of lifestyle stores. The fourth and fifth floors will have an INOX multiplex and a food court. There will also be an open-area restaurant on the terrace.
Apart from a multi-level car parking, the basement will also house a Spencer’s Hyper Strore.
“This is an attempt to boost trade and reinforce the city’s image as one of the most attractive commercial centres in the country,” Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of the Group, said in a release issued by the company.
