AC maker Blue Star today announced the launch of a new range of room air-conditioners for the residential segment.
The new range of split air-conditioners come in multi-colour options in the 3-star and 5-star models and have features such as seven filters for ultra-pure air, turbo operation and rust-resistant construction, a company release said.
B Thiagarajan, Executive Director and President — AC and Refrigeration Products Business, Blue Star Limited, claimed in a release that while room air-conditioner market grew by nine per cent in 2013, the company had outperformed the market, growing 18 per cent.
“The market for room air-conditioners is expected to grow by around 15 per cent in FY15 and considering our 3-year track record of outperforming the market coupled with our impressive new energy-efficient product range, we hope to achieve growth of 25 per cent from the residential segment,” he said.
