National Fertilisers Ltd’s net profit more than doubled to Rs 56.87 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2012, as against a net profit of Rs 26.72 crore in the same period of previous year.
Total income increased to Rs 2,088 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 1,607.96 crore in the year ago period.
For the year ended March 31, 2012, net profit fell by over 8 per cent to Rs 126.73 crore as against Rs 138.50 crore in the 2010—11.
Total income increased to Rs 7,309.93 crore from Rs 5,801.87 crore in the previous fiscal.
The company has recommended a dividend of Rs 0.78 per share (face value of Rs 10 each) for 2011—2012 fiscal.
Shares of the company closed up by 5.73 per cent at Rs 81.15 apiece on the BSE today.
