NIIT Technologies on Friday reported a 9.5 per cent rise in net profit at ₹61.9 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31 compared with ₹56.6 crore in the same period last year.
Consolidated revenues for the quarter also rose 9.5 per cent year-on-year to ₹588.5 crore compared with ₹37.2 crore during January-March quarter last fiscal.
Operating profit remained flat year-on-year at ₹89 crore compared to ₹88.4 crore earlier.
New orders The company said it secured fresh orders of $144 million during the quarter, leading to $290 million worth of orders executable over the next 12 months.
“This includes two contracts over $25 million from existing US-based banking, financial services and insurance clients. Four significant clients were added — two in the travel and transportation segments, and one each in Government and manufacturing, during the quarter,” Arvind Thakur, Chief Executive Officer, NIIT Tech said.
He said the company hired 130 people during the quarter, taking the headcount to 8,290 compared with 8,128 during the same quarter last year.
