On the back of its new Sunny sedan and the Micra small car, Nissan India’s sales in October have increased over one and a half times to 2,990 units.
The Japanese automaker has received orders for 2,000 units of the Sunny in the first six weeks after its launch.
Meanwhile, the Micra premium hatch, which is also produced at its Oragadam plant with the Sunny, continues to be its top-selling model with sales of 1,619 units in the month. The remaining numbers came from the X-TRAIL lifestyle SUV, Teana premium sedan and 370Z sports car.
“October’s sales are very encouraging and demonstrate the sustained progress Nissan is making within the Indian market,” Mr Kiminobu Tokuyama, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, said.
Nissan, which has 45 dealers nationwide, also provides its customers with round-the-clock assistance and a portfolio of customer care and service schemes including extended warranty and roadside assistance for all its products.
