Nissan has named its new premium sports utility vehicle as ‘Terrano’, which is planned to be launched this financial year.
Terrano will be produced at Nissan’s Oragadam plant near Chennai, expanding the company’s locally built model range to four. At present, the company builds its premium hatchback Micra, sedan Sunny and urban class utility vehicle Evalia, Nissan said in a statement.
“Terrano has a bold and distinctive design that I am confident will appeal to our growing customer base in India. lts driving performance and range of other features will be revealed at a later date,” Nissan Motor India President and Chief Executive Officer Kenichiro Yomura said.
Nissan Motor India is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Japan’s Nissan Motor Co.
