State-owned NMDC today said that the company’s Director (Technical), Mr N.K. Nanda, will hold the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD).
“Ministry of Steel ... has assigned the additional charge of the post of ... (CMD) NMDC Ltd to N.K. Nanda, Director Technical, NMDC, for a period of three months with effect from January 1, 2012, or till regular CMD joins the post ..,” NMDC said in a filing to BSE.
The development follows Mr Rana Som, former CMD of NMDC, retiring from service on December 31, 2011 on attaining the age of superannuation.
“Rana Som, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NMDC, has retired from the services of the company on attaining the superannuation age of 60 years on December 31,” the statement said.
