State-owned National Mineral Development Corporation has cut prices of its iron ore lumps by Rs 200 a tonne, while keeping prices of fines unchanged for the month of pay.
With this revision, the price of lump ore is now Rs 4,300 a tonne and fines Rs 2,910 a tonne.
In the last two months, the iron ore miner had kept its prices unchanged, while hiking the rate by Rs 100 a tonne for February.
Last month, it produced 2.44 million tonnes of iron ore from its mines in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, the same as that in the corresponding month of last fiscal.
