National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has registered a marginal increase in its iron ore production for the first two months of the current fiscal at 4.94 million tonnes.
In the corresponding period of last fiscal, the production was 4.90 million tonnes.
While 3.56 million tonnes came from Chhattisgarh, the remaining 1.38 million tonnes from its Karnataka mines.
With its previous stocks, the company could despatch 5.65 million tonnes of ore during the last two months, up from 5.08 million tonnes.
NMDC has revised its ore prices to Rs 4,600 per tonne for lumps and Rs 3,160 for fines for the month of June, the company said in a communication to the BSE.
