The National Mineral Development Corporation has made it clear that it has no plans to exit from the consortium of International Coal Ventures Ltd.
ICVL, a PSU joint venture, is a consortium promoted by top public sector entities such as SAIL, NMDC, Coal India Ltd, RINL and NTPC to secure overseas coal assets — both thermal and coking coal.
NMDC said it is on the look out for additional mineral resources, including coking coal, both in India and overseas. It will continue to remain part of the ICVL consortium.
