NPC’s Kakrapar, Lanco Infratech, Nobel Synthetics bag safety awards

Kakrapar Atomic Power Station of Nuclear Power Corporation in Tapi, Gujarat, Lanco Infratech  in Korba, Chhattisgarh and Nobel Synthetics,  Navi Mumbai, have bagged safety awards for 2011.

The awards, instituted by the National Safety Council of India, are given to organisations in the manufacturing, construction and MSME sector.

Kakrapar bagged the Sarva Shreshtha Suraksha Puraskar in the manufacturing sector while Lanco Infratech got it in the construction sector and Nobel Synthetics in the medium and small sector, according to a Labour Ministry release.

The awards were presented by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Kodikunnil Suresh, here on Wednesday.

NSCI, an autonomous organisation set up by the Labour Ministry in the field of occupational safety and health, has been awarding organisations since 1998.
