NTPC has announced that its 50 MW solar power station at Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh is fully operational.
With commencement of commercial operation of 20 MW solar unit today, the capacity of Rajgarh Solar PV Power Station in Madhya Pradesh has gone up to 50 MW. Following the commissioning of the new unit, the total capacity of non-conventional energy projects under NTPC Ltd is now at 95 MW.
NTPC now has a total installed capacity of 43,039 MW through its 16 coal-based, seven gas-based, seven solar renewable and seven joint venture power stations contributing around 28 per cent of the country’s power requirement.
