Offering its guests a new technological experience, East India Hotels that runs Oberoi brand of hotels and resorts, is offering a virtual walk through of all properties in India on Google’s Street View.
By opening its doors to the company’s specially designed cameras, Google Maps users can now explore 360° images of all Oberoi Hotels & Resorts in India, the company said in a statement.
Google Street View is a technology that provides panoramic views and is available for many places in the world.
Commenting on the development, Oberoi Group President, Kapil Chopra said: ““We are delighted to be working with Google to showcase our hotels to people all over the world.”
The Street View based images allow people to experience the ambiance of Oberoi hotels beyond what one can garner from regular photographs alone, he added.
The hotels that have been mapped are Oberoi Gurgaon, Oberoi New Delhi, Oberoi Mumbai, Oberoi Bangalore, Oberoi Grand Kolkata, Oberoi Cecil Shimla, Wildflower Hall, Shimla and Oberoi Amarvilas Agra among others, the company said.
