Odisha: Amway India registers 24% growth in H1

Amway India has posted 24 per cent growth in Odisha during the first half of 2013 over the year-ago period.

“For the period of January to June 2013, Amway Odisha recorded a turnover of Rs 33 crore compared to Rs 26.5 crore in H1 of 2012,” Diptarag Bhattacharjee, Vice President (East) Amway India told reporters here.

“Odisha is not only the fastest growing state for Amway East but is also the top state among the top 10 growing states for Amway in India in terms of revenue,” he said.

Odisha witnessed a robust growth of 24 per cent during the first half of 2013 riding high on the buoyant distributor base, high demand of world class products of Amway, robust distribution and Home delivery network, Bhattacharjee said.

The state has been steadily witnessing double digit growth for the past four years even during the period when overall recession hit the FMCG sector in India as well, he said.

Bhattacharjee launched a new line of Monsoon colours under cosmetics brand Attitude in the state.

The Monsoon colours comprise six shades lip colours, three shades of nail colours, three shades of eye liner pencil and three shades of lip liner pencils.

“Extension of colour cosmetics portfolio bears testimony to further grow our beauty category which is now the fastest growing category for us,” he said.

Amway India has also launched women’s category of nutritional supplement Under Brand Nutrilite in the state.

“We have dedicated and positioned the year 2013 in India to as the ‘Year of Wellness & Beauty for the Amway Woman’

During the course of this year we will be focusing on internal and external beauty and wellness elements of women,” Bhattacharjee said.
