ONGC due diligence on Vietnam blocks

Sudir Vasudeva, CMD, ONGC, said the company has carried out due diligence on its Vietnam blocks. “We do our due diligence and evaluate all and take a call on that...," he told reporters on the sidelines of a global seminar organised by the ICAI. To a specific question on whether geopolitical pressures in the South China Sea, Vasudeva said: “volatility and uncertainty will remain”. “It is very difficult to keep parties and oil separate... Volatility and uncertainty will be there forever,” he said.Asked if ONGC had any specific strategy to tide over political pressures in the region, he answered in the negative. “We don’t have any insurance... We will see," he said.
