ONGC notifies two discoveries

ONGC has notified two new oil and gas discoveries. These discoveries are in Western offshore and onshore. The offshore discovery is 40 km from ONGC's premium asset Mumbai High offshore, and the onshore discovery is in Mehsana, Gujarat.

In a statement issued here, ONGC said that the company's board on Thursday declared two new discoveries and notified to the Directorate-General of Hydrocarbons.

Both the discoveries have been made in the fields allotted to the company before the new exploration licensing rounds came into existence.

The discovery at Western offshore in Panna has flowed at the rate of 1,076 barrels of oil per day and gas at 0.189 million standard cubic metres a day (mmscmd). While the onshore discovery produced oil at the rate of 174 barrels of oil a day.
