ONGC’s mini-refinery at Tatipaka in East Godavari has started exporting naphtha from Friday, according to a press release.

The first tanker of 100 tonnes was flagged off by P. Krishna Rao, Group General Manager, from Tatipaka.

ONGC has hired a storage facility in Visakhapatnam port from East India Petroleum Ltd to store 7,600 tonnes of naphtha. It will be exported along with HPCL’s naphtha.

The refinery was set up in 2001, with a refining capacity of 250 tonnes a day.
