Renewable energy power producer Orient Green Power Company today reported a net loss of Rs 64.13 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013.
The Chennai-based company had reported a net loss of Rs 57.11 crore during the same period a year ago, Orient Green Power Company Ltd said in a BSE filing.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2013, the net loss of the firm stood at Rs 81.71 crore as against a net loss of Rs 81.85 crore registered in the year-ago period.
The total income from operations for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013, soared to Rs 76.75 crore from Rs 71.75 crore.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2013, the total income from operations grew to Rs 435.45 crore from Rs 250.44 crore.
The company said that it had received Rs 150 crore during 2012-13 towards “share application money” from Shriram Industrial Holdings Ltd.
During the period 2012-13, the company made investments of about Rs 71.25 crore in four Indian subsidiaries and provided loans of about Rs 106.09 crore to them.
Shares of the company ended at Rs 13.15 a piece, down by 2.16 per cent over previous close on the BSE.
