Page Industries Ltd, manufacturer of innerwear and leisurewear for men and women, has posted net profits of Rs 20 crore, recording year-on-year growth of 27 per cent for the quarter ended December 2011.
Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 172, showing an increase of 28 per cent from the corresponding period last fiscal.
Page Industries is the exclusive licensee of Jockey International Inc (USA) in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and the UAE and for Speedo International Ltd (UK) in India.
Mr Sunder Ashok Genomal, Managing Director, Page Industries, said the third quarter of the current financial year was ‘extremely satisfactory'.
Jockey products are retailed through 71 exclusive brand outlets and over 20,000 retail stores in 1,200 cities and towns across India. As on December 31, 2011, Page Industries had over 13,000 employees across eight manufacturing units at Bangalore.
