Panasonic’s first ‘eco ideas’ factory, which is a new manufacturing unit of Panasonic India Group at Dadri Toy in Jhajjar district in Haryana, will be inaugurated on December 12.
The factory is spread over an area of 76 acres, an official release said here on Monday.
It said this manufacturing unit would be company’s latest initiative to showcase best practices in sustainable manufacturing and raise level of eco consciousness in the community through outreach activities.
The factory would be inaugurated by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The factory will not only be a state-of-the-art manufacturing of high-tech products, but it will also brings much-needed employment, economic growth and social benefits to the region, the release said quoting a spokesman of the company.
The construction of the manufacturing unit commenced in April 2011 and has an initial manufacturing capacity of over 10 lakh sets of air conditioners, 4 lakh sets of washing machines and 25,000 sets of welding and cutting machines per annum.
