Education services provider Pearson Education launched PowerSchool, a Web-based Student Information System (SIS) which allows educators to make real-time decisions about each student.

The SIS is present today in over 60 countries and will now be available in India and help create a collaborative environment for parents, teachers and students to work together to prepare students for the future, a press statement said.

The major beneficiaries of this product would be the school administrators, teachers, parents, students, counsellors and IT staff of schools.

“IT-enabled systems not only ease the pressure on academia, but also bring in transparency and control in the way records and documents are maintained. This unanimously accepted student information system is expected to change the way Indian schools administer work, thereby moving school education to the next level,” Mr Srikanth Iyer, COO, Pearson Education Services said.
