Pennar Engineered Building Systems Ltd (PEBS Pennar) posted a net profit of ₹4.36 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015 as against a net profit of ₹2.69 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The Hyderabad-based company posted a total income of ₹10.56 crore during the second quarter as against ₹92.53 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. For the last fiscal ended March 31, 2015, the company had registered a net profit of ₹21.91 crore and total income of ₹449.21 crore.
PV Rao, Managing Director of PEBS Pennar, in a statement, said, “Our company has delivered a robust quarter in an environment of high volatility in the raw material prices. Our EBIDTA margins have improved significantly over last year same quarter and revenue and PAT are higher. We are expanding the engineering segment of the business into newer locations.”
“With a strong capex cycle turning, we are well positioned to grow aggressively over the next few years,” Aditya Rao, Vice- Chairman, PEBS Pennar, said.
It has an order book of ₹410 crore. The company shares closed at ₹169.10, up 1.26 per cent on the BSE on Monday.
