PepsiCo Inc. has received the Stockholm Industry Water Award in recognition of its “innovative and outstanding water stewardship initiatives’’, according to a company release.
The award, given during World Water Week, honours the business sector’s contribution to sustainable water management among other things.
“PepsiCo has successfully reduced water consumption in its production, and extended its commitment beyond the company’s own operations to help solve water challenges on a broad scale,” the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) Award Jury said in the release.
