There was a power failure in the Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) on Monday.
A spokesman for the company said that there was a power failure in Phase I and Phase II units of MRPL due to instrument problem in the power plant on Monday morning.
The spokesman said that the power plant is being stabilised and units are being progressively started beginning with crude distillation unit, catalytic reforming unit, hydrogen unit, and hydro-cracker unit.
He clarified that no disruption is anticipated with respect to product supply.
