State-owned Power Finance Corporation today posted a net profit of Rs 1,117 crore for the third quarter of this fiscal, against Rs 1,108 crore in the same period of previous fiscal.
Total income from operations rose to Rs 4,465.37 crore from Rs 3,282.35 crore in the same period last fiscal, PFC said in a filing to the BSE.
The company’s expenses also zoomed 63 per cent to Rs 2,955.68 crore in the quarter, from Rs 1,810.23 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
PFC is engaged in funding power generation, transmission and distribution projects.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 206.70, up 1.50 per cent on the BSE.
