Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has reported a 33 per cent increase in its net profit for the first quarter of fiscal 2016-17 at Rs 1,801.77 crore. In the same quarter last year, the company’s net profit was Rs 1,355.64 crore.
During the quarter, the company’s net revenues also grew 30.4 per cent to Rs 6,119.86 crore from Rs 4,689.88 crore in the same quarter last year.
At 2.14 pm, the company’s shares were trading 1.74 per cent higher at Rs 181 on the BSE.
