Premier Explosives Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 2.39 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016, as against a profit of Rs 1.88 crore for the corresponding quarter last year on a standalone basis.
The company’s total income from operations for the second quarter was up at Rs 54.92 crore, as against Rs 40.44 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2016, the company had posted a profit of Rs 5.67 crore and income of Rs 184.98 crore.
As of September 30, 2016, the company has an order book of Rs 273 crore, which includes Rs 161 crore from explosives, Rs 87 crore from defence and Rs 25 crore from services.
The company shares were trading at Rs 382.50, up 2.55 per cent at BSE during the day today.
