Hydro-mechanical engineering company Om Metals Infraprojects has said that it has commissioned three radial gates for Chamera III hydro-electric project.
Chamera III is a NHPC project in Himachal Pradesh with a capacity to generate 231 MW.
Om Metals said Chamera III is a run of river scheme on the river Ravi and upstream of the 300-MW Chamera II hydroelectric project in Chamba district.
The project will generate 1,104 million units annually in a 90 per cent dependable year. The value of the hydro-mechanical works is Rs 67 crore.
Vikas Kothari, Director, Business Development, Om Metals, said it is for the first time that an Indian construction company has executed a complicatedly designed project under the most stringent and demanding weather conditions.
