Rail Wheel Factory has completed 100 per cent replacement of conventional light fittings with LED light fittings in its factory and service buildings as June 30, within the target set by the Railway Board.
During the last 6 months, about 9,784 of various types of fittings were replaced under ESCO model of EESL and Departmental work. This will render energy savings of about 17 Lakhs units per year with a monetary saving of about ₹93 Lakh.
