DuPont has appointed Mr Rajeev Vaidya as the new President, South Asia. He takes over from Mr Balvinder S. Kalsi, who has moved to DuPont Headquarters in Wilmington, US as a leader in corporate strategy.
Mr Vaidya joined DuPont in 1985 and held various positions of responsibility in the Asia Pacific, including that of regional leader for the DuPont Titanium technologies, the largest business of DuPont in India, and most recently that of regional business leader for DuPont Chemicals & Fluoroproducts.
DuPont India tripled its sales revenues to nearly $1 billion in the last six years. This period saw the launch of the DuPont India Innovation Centre at Pune, DuPont Knowledge Centre and the DuPont Services Centre in Hyderabad in 2008, and expanding into the markets of Bangladesh & Sri Lanka.
