Ramky Infrastructure Ltd has posted a loss of Rs 85.67 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015, against a loss of Rs 142.35 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
The diversified Hyderabad-based infrastructure company’s total income was, however, up at Rs 318.41 crore during the second quarter as against Rs 221.64 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.
During the last financial year ended March 31, 2015, the company closed with a loss of Rs 666.09 crore and income of Rs 1,086.45 crore.
The board met during the weekend to finalise its quarterly numbers.
YR Nagaraja, Managing Director, in a regulatory filing made with the stock exchanges, said the company achieved a net income of Rs 584 crore for the first-half ended September 30, 2015, as against Rs 441.79 crore for the corresponding half year of the previous year. Net loss for the first half was at Rs 148.82 crore as compared to net loss of Rs 229.74 crore for the corresponding half year of the previous year.
The company said during the first half it incurred losses of Rs 148 crore resulting in accumulation of losses of Rs 423 crore and erosion of reserves. As of September 30, 2015, the company had obligations towards borrowings aggregating to Rs 1,799.63 crore.
During the quarter, the company executed a restructuring arrangement with a majority of its lenders.
Ramky shares were trading at Rs 28.60 at BSE during the day, up 2 per cent.
