Regency Ceramics posted a net loss of Rs 1.35 crore for the quarter ended March 31 against a net loss of Rs 7.62 crore in the year ago period.

This was mostly on account of lower sales--during the quarter, its income from operations was Rs 51 lakh against Rs 18.21 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

The company had declared a lock-out in January after it was rocked by violent incidents at its Yanam unit, resulting in the deaths of a union leader and its President.
