Reliance Infrastructure has posted a 10 per cent rise in net profit at ₹458 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014, against ₹415 crore logged in the same period last year. Total income was down to ₹4,548 crore (₹5,746 crore). Total expenditure was down 26 per cent from ₹4,865 crore to ₹3,608 crore. Cost of power purchased was 12 per cent lower from ₹2,259 crore to ₹1,997 crore.
In cement business, R Infra said it ramped up production of 5.8 million tonnes a year from Maihar in Madhya Pradesh, Kundangunj in Uttar Pradesh, Butibori in Maharashtra and Durgapur in West Bengal. Ten of its 11 road projects earned `152 crore (`162 crore).
