Reliance Retail, arm of Reliance Industries, today reported 12.90 per cent increase in its pre—tax profit at Rs 210 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015—16.
It had reported PBDIT (profit before depreciation and income tax) at Rs 186 crore in the same period of last fiscal.
Reliance Retail’s turnover in the quarter under review went up by 22.17 per cent at Rs 5,091 crore (Rs 4,167 crore).
“Reliance Retail recorded continued growth momentum and strong profitability in the second quarter of the current financial year,” the company said in a statement.
This quarter, Reliance Brands announced an exclusive long term partnership with Centaurus lifestyle brands for retailing Ed Hardy innerwear brand in India.
Reliance Retail now operates 2,857 stores across 250 cities in India.
