Repro India Ltd, an end-to-end education content delivery solutions provider in print and digital media for domestic and international customers, has acquired the India printing operations of Macmillan Publishers India Ltd.
The deal to be inked by the two entities also entails servicing the print requirements of Macmillan in India.
Under the arrangement, Macmillan will outsource the printing of its education books to Repro, with the order worth over Rs 250 crore over the next five years.
The acquisition of printing operations in Chennai would strengthen Repro's foothold in the South Indian market, bringing it closer to its clients. Macmillan's printing press in Chennai has a deliverable capacity of about 6 million books annually.
