RIL-BP in a joint statement said today that they will expand their partnership in India. The two will develop the R-series deepwater gas field in India as first of three projects. An official statement said, “The project is expected to produce 12 million cubic metres of gas per day (mmscmd), coming onstream in 2020.”
A total investment of around $6 billion (₹40,000 crore) is going to be made in the project. The joint statement said, "This is the first of three planned projects in Block KG-D6 that are expected to be developed in an integrated manner, producing from 3 trillion cubic feet of discovered gas resources
