The Visakhapatnam steel plant, RINL, has procured the latest technological tool 3D laser scanner for verification of volumetric raw materials stocks like, coals, coke fractions in the raw material handling division.
According to a press release, V.V Venugopala Rao, the Director (Finance), inaugurated the laser scanner on Monday in the presence of OR Ramani, ED (Works). He said on the occasion that the RINL is always in the forefront in adopting latest technological innovations in the steel-making process. He congratulated the stock verification wing for the initiative in using modern methods for assessing stocks in the plant.
The 3D Scanner would give accurate results while verifying huge volumes of raw materials and other volumetric stocks in the plant and port areas. Senior officials were present on the occasion.
