Rolta UK Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rolta India Ltd, today announced that Northern Powergrid of the UK has awarded two contracts to it. The jobs are worth about Rs 59 crore and are to be executed over two years.
The first is to implement a fully integrated asset management system with comprehensive geospatial functionality. Northern Powergrid is an electricity distribution company, delivering electricity to nearly four million domestic and commercial customers across the north east of England.
Management of its assets, some 31,000 sub-stations and 91,000 km of overhead and underground cables, is important for investment decisions and changes to the asset infrastructure.
The second is to provide data management and quality assurance services relating to asset records.
