Royal Enfield rides into South Korea

Premium bike-maker Royal Enfield on Friday said it expanded its presence in Asia with the launch of its standalone flagship store in Seoul, South Korea.

Vintage Motors (Kiheung International) will be Royal Enfield’s distributor-partner in South Korea, a statement said.

The company has begun its operations in South Korea with three motorcycles from its line-up — the Bullet 500, the Classic 500 and its adventure offering, the Himalayan.

“Our focus is to sustain and expand our reach in international markets especially in Asia-Pacific region. Royal Enfield has seen consistent growth in the APAC region with a 20 per cent year-on-year growth. Korea is an important chapter in the growth story and we are thrilled to commence business here,” said Vimal Sumbly, APAC Business Head, Royal Enfield.

The company has over 540 dealerships across over 50 countries , apart from India. It has 38 exclusive stores in London, Madrid, Jakarta, Sao Paulo, etc.
