Reliance Power on a consolidated basis has posted a net profit ₹244 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2014, compared with ₹240 crore logged in the same period last year.
Total income increased from ₹1,206 crore to ₹1,811 crore. With higher generation, fuel cost rose 66 per cent from ₹632 crore to ₹1,047 crore.
The Rosa Power plant in Uttar Pradesh generated 2,464 million units with plant availability at 104 per cent (100 per cent).
The Butibori Power plant in Maharashtra generated 873 million units and reached availability of 100 per cent in its first quarter of operations. At the 4,000-MW Sasan plant in Madhya Pradesh, four units of 2,640 MW are operational, R Power said.
