Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has registered a 14 per cent sales growth in April 2014.
According to a statement, it sold 8.1 lakh tonnes of steel items, including a 66 per cent increase in exportable quantity against April last year.
Hot metal production at 1.22 million tonnes was up by 6 per cent and crude steel production at 1.14 million tonnes was up by 4 per cent.
