Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) on Monday said that it has registered a growth of 8 per cent during November 2012 compared to the same month last year.
The public sector company produced 9.72 lakh tonnes of saleable steel during November, it said in a statement.
During April-November 2012, SAIL produced 8.2 million tonnes of saleable steel, a growth of 2.3 per cent over the previous year.
SAIL said that techno-economic parameters during April-November 2012 fared better, with 2 per cent improvement in coke rate and energy consumption and 3 per cent improvement in BF productivity compared to the same period previous year.
