SAIL sales, exports up in Q2

SAIL recorded a physical sales growth of 14 per cent in the second quarter of FY14 at 3.1 million tonnes (mt). During the second quarter, its exports grew 47 per cent year-on-year at 1.3 lakh tonnes, a SAIL release said. During the first half of the current financial year, the company achieved highest-ever saleable steel production of 6.5 mt, registering a growth of 4 per cent y-o-y.
