Home appliances major Samsung has set a 50 per cent growth target for market share in refrigerators and ACs with launch of its first digital inverter-frost free refrigerators in India, a company official said on Tuesday.
The refrigerators come with a 10 year warranty offered for the first time in refrigerators, Samsung India Home—Appliance Business Head, Rajeev Bhutani said after launch of new range of refrigerators and air—conditioners.
On the launch of air—conditioners, he said three inverter models have been launched ensuring energy efficiency besides looking at 50 per cent jump on sales of split ACs.
“We are looking at a 50 per cent growth year—on—year (on market share) basis both in value and volume terms (in refrigerator and air—conditioners)”, Krishnan said.
The company currently holds 15 per cent market share in air—conditioners, 33.6 per cent in frost—free refrigerators and 24 per cent in refrigerators.
