B. Santhanam, Managing Director, Saint-Gobain Glass India Ltd, Chennai, has been elected as the Chairman of CII–Southern Region and Navas Meeran, Eastern Treads Ltd of Ernakulam, as Deputy Chairman for 2013-14.
Their names were announced at the first meeting of the reconstituted Southern Regional Council held in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Santhanam has been closely associated with the CII and was the Deputy Chairman of CII–Southern Region for 2012 -13.
He has been closely involved in CII initiatives in the areas of human resource development, skill development and manufacturing.
He obtained his B.Tech from IIT, Madras and MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad.
Navas Meeran is an active member of CII and was the Chairman of CII Kerala State Council during 2006-07. He is a member of CII Southern Region Council.
