SBI to offer training to physically challenged persons

State Bank of India (SBI) has signed an MoU with Enable India, a non-profit organisation, to train persons with disabilities towards economic independence.

Enable India is a 12-year-old Bangalore-based organisation founded by Shanti Raghavan and her husband Dipesh Sutariya.

“As per the MoU, SBI will provide training to physically challenged persons selected by Enable India to be financially independent,” said Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairman, SBI.

“SBI will utilise RSETIs (rural self employment training institutes) infrastructure to achieve a common goal of enabling the well-being of most deserving section of the society,” she added.
