Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting (WCCL), which is being de-merged from Wipro, today said that it has roped in Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor as its brand ambassador for the Aramusk male grooming products.
“Kapoor has been signed on as the brand ambassador for the Aramusk brand, which includes deodorants and soaps,” Anil Chugh, Senior Vice-President, WCCL said over phone from Bangalore.
He said the contract with the actor will be for more than a year.
The company had earlier signed Juhi Chawla for its Safe Wash, Katrina Kaif and Amy Jackson for Yardley and Saif Ali Khan for Santoor.
Introduced by the erstwhile Calcutta Chemicals, Aramusk was the first men’s soap in the country and changed hands several times. Wipro bought it last year from the Mumbai-based VVF. Since then, the company rolled out the Aramusk products nationally.
The company also plans to roll out shaving gel, deodorants and face creams under the Aramusk brand.
