Sreeram Srinivasan, President & Executive Director of Shanthi Gears Ltd, Coimbatore, has resigned.
It was accepted by the board of birectors at its meeting on Friday.
In a communication to the stock exchanges, the company said that Sreeram Srinivasan will continue in his post till he is relieved in the normal course. However, the reasons for his resignation were not disclosed.
Shanthi Gears, the Coimbatore-based company belonging to the Murugappa Group, is into the manufacture of power transmission products, including gears, gear boxes, geared motors and gear assemblies.
