Electrical equipment maker Siemens on Tuesday launched 10 value-based products under its ’Smart’ portfolio totalling the number of such products to 20 since first launched last fiscal.

The newly—launched products are targeted at a range of verticals like aviation, power distribution, building, infrastructure, healthcare, material handling, manufacturing and industrial applications, a company release said.

“These products are high in performance and cost-competitive, and have a very high utility value and are available at price points that a vast majority of customers can afford. Our plan is to completely localise the value chain,” said Mr Armin Bruck, Managing Director, Siemens.

Under the Smart portfolio, which stands for simple, maintenance-friendly, affordable, reliable and timely—to- market services, Siemens plans to launch another 10 products in next year.
